Climate Change is Real

Global warming is a daunting concept that can be hard to process, and it’s easy to be overwhelmed when confronted with a plethora of scientific statistics about temperatures and predicted sea level rises. This exhibition aims to explore ideas about climate change - its causes and effects. The artists are asked to address the issues of rising temperatures, pollution, natural disasters, rising sea levels and diminishing resources. ​

Wabi is said to be defined as “rustic simplicity” or “understated elegance” with a focus on a less-is-more mentality. Sabi is translated to “taking pleasure in the imperfect.” The Japanese philosophy encourages us to focus on the blessings hiding in our daily lives, and celebrating the way things are rather than how they should be.
